Privacy Policy

Little Journey respects your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles data.

In short: The app does not collect personal data and contains no accounts, ads, third-party analytics, or developer server.

1. Data we do not collect

Little Journey has no developer server, user accounts, advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or crash-reporting SDK. We do not collect or receive personal data from the app, sell personal data, or track you across apps.

The app does not request access to precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, health data, or advertising identifiers.

2. Data stored only on your device

To provide its core features, the app stores the following on your device:

  • Current and completed journey state, including route, start time, end time, and reward result;
  • Collected discoveries and their quantities;
  • Automatically generated journal entries;
  • Notification, quiet-hours, sound, haptic, and language preferences;
  • A random anonymous identifier that contains no name, phone number, or email address; and
  • Up to 100 local behavior events included in user-initiated data exports and used to troubleshoot on-device state.

The app does not send this data to the developer or any third party. The random identifier is kept in secure operating-system storage; other app state is kept in the app's local storage.

3. Notifications

If you choose to allow notifications, the app uses local notifications provided by the operating system to remind you once when Ali returns. Notification permission is optional. Denying or disabling notifications does not remove rewards or limit core features.

4. Export and sharing

You can create a JSON file from Settings > Export My Data. The app opens the operating-system share sheet, and you decide whether to save or share the file and which third-party destination receives it. Once you send data to another app or service, that destination's privacy policy applies.

5. Deletion

Settings > Delete All Data permanently removes the current journey, collection, journal, preferences, local behavior events, and anonymous identifier. Deletion occurs immediately after confirmation and cannot be undone because the app has no cloud backup.

Uninstalling the app also removes ordinary local data. To ensure the anonymous identifier in secure storage is removed as well, use the in-app deletion option before uninstalling.

6. Children's privacy

Little Journey is intended for a general audience. It is not designed to collect children's personal information and includes no registration, chat, advertising, purchases, or user-generated content. Because the app does not transmit data to the developer, we do not knowingly collect children's personal data.

7. Changes to this policy

If a future version adds cloud sync, accounts, remote analytics, or another feature that sends data off the device, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures before enabling that feature and obtain consent where required. Material changes will be communicated through release notes or an in-app notice.
